BOXER RESCUE INFORMATION

There are many good reasons to consider Boxer Rescue, or any breeds
rescue organizations. At any time, there may be anywhere from 2 to 40 dogs in a particular Rescue Groups care. While some of these dogs came from homes where they were mistreated, others are simply abandoned due to people not being prepared for the Boxer breed temperament.

While Boxer puppies are indeed cute, they are also a handful.  Often, puppies are too much for the average household to deal with!  If you are prepared for the personality traits of the breed and your family has decided that this IS the appropriate
breed for you, please consider a Rescue Boxer!

Consider these facts:
  • Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered prior to placement.
  • Rescue dogs are evaluated for temperament prior to placement.
  • Rescue dogs are usually past the housebreaking/chewing phases.
  • These are NOT "problem dogs", these were dogs who were owned by "Problem people" who were usually unprepared for the responsibility of dog ownership.
  • Rescue Organizations will do their best to place the most appropriate dog for your family with you. They want their dogs to find their 'forever home'!
  • Rescue Organizations will support you and are always available to offer help, and   information.
  • Rescue Organizations WILL NOT place dangerous dogs. The dogs that are placed by Rescue are dogs that have passed the individual Rescue groups standards for temperament, and mental soundness.
  • There is a assortment of colors, varieties, ages and personalities available for adoption!! Each dog is special, and needs a good PERMANENT home.

  In conclusion, please understand that the dogs found in Rescue are NOT 'other peoples problems'. These dogs are usually typical Boxers who were misunderstood, or who were purchased by unprepared owners. More often than not, the reasons people abandon dogs are due to lack of training, lack of supervision, or lack of common sense on the owners behalf.  Please consider giving a Rescue dog a chance.
